How to implement self love affirmations
Honestly, this is the most difficult part. You’ve been put at war with your body by the things you’ve been taught your whole life; so choosing to rebel against society and actively work towards loving yourself is going to be uncomfortable! THAT IS OKAY. Don’t let the discomfort stop you.
Choose simple affirmations to start. Make this journey as easy as possible for yourself and choose just one! Here’s a list of simple self love affirmations:
- I am enough
- I am worthy
- I deserve happiness
- I love myself
- I honor my life
- I deserve to take up space
- I accept myself unconditionally
- I deserve fulfilling relationships
- I am proud of myself
Make sure you believe them!
Start with a simple affirmation, and believe in it. Choose one that resonates with you and where you are in your life! If it’s uncomfortable to believe at first, that’s totally normal. Don’t let discomfort stop you from working inward to meet your true self. You are perfect as you are.
Say the self love affirmations out loud
Speak your affirmations out loud to give them life! Write them down and post them where you can see them every day, like on your mirror or right by your front door so you can be reminded every time you leave your home. Surround yourself with affirmations to create an environment that gives you no choice but to believe you’re magic- because you are.
Commit to the practice
It will take time to get comfortable with the practice, but keep it simple at first! Maybe try one affirmation a week to start. Set a reminder in your phone that pops up every day with your chosen affirmation; or make it your plan to wake up and look in the mirror and say your affirmation to start your day.
