A two-session series celebrating the elements: earth, water, fire, and air- shot in the beautiful Virginia woods.

The Elements: Earth

Earth is grounding. It’s our foundation and connection to our life path, and where we plant our roots. Your body is your earth. It’s your foundation. Your bones, flesh, and blood all support you unconditionally and constantly. And when you start this journey of self love, you’re coming home to yourself and acknowledging that your body has never wavered in its support for you and your existence- even if you’ve treated it unkindly.

The Elements: Water

Water reminds us of inevitable changes and how we flow with them. No matter what the environment is, water changes and adapts to the things around it. It might look different- it can freeze or turn to steam… but it’s still the same. This teaches us that while your body might become unrecognizable, it’s still you.

The Elements: Fire

Fire represents energy, a tool for transformation, connection to personal power, and inner strength. It’s your inner power and the spark within you that says “I’m doing this for myself- unapologetically.” New things are created by burning the old to the ground, and when we sew new seeds in fertile earth they grow faster and stronger than what was there before. Fire is the inner passion you feel that keeps you going. It tells everything else to move out of the way because changes are coming.

The Elements: Air

Air makes us consider the sensations and the things that we might not be able to see, but can feel. You can’t see the breeze when it gently touches your face, but you can feel how it makes you pause and consider what it means to be alive. The growth and emotions that can’t be explained with words are still felt. Air is the undefinable progress and pleasure you feel from coming home to your body and accepting it for what it- a vessel that houses you, protects you, and allows you to be here.

Welcome home

The elements show us that we’re closer to nature than we think. They show us we are just as worthy of admiration as butterflies and sunsets and autumn leaves. You have a right to be here. And self love sessions are a celebration of that realization and the culmination of the work you’ve done to come home. 🤎
