This was Kaya’s third shoot with me, and after having two sessions in the studio, she wanted to go to the water this time!! I am HERE for these stunning outdoor boudoir shoots.

When Kayla first started shooting with me (see her first session here), she was just starting her self love journey. The experience was life changing for her, and she found herself back in the studio for another shoot. I got to watch her transformation in front of my eyes, and as a Richmond boudoir photographer – there’s nothing better.

For this third session, we took it outdoors next to the beautiful river here in Virginia. Doing these sessions in nature is exhilarating, grounding, and liberating. I choose secluded areas so you have privacy, but sometimes people walk by. And you’ll read Kayla’s experience below about her confidence rising the entire session. She said by the time she got in the water, she was absolutely glowing and feeling so empowered.

I will never get tired of helping people along their self love journey. Watching you step into your power as a human, and reclaim your space unapologetically never gets old.

Kayla, thank you for trusting me with your third session with me and letting me a be a part of your glow up. I love to see you trust your inner power more and more each time.

What made you choose us for your session? 🙂

How could I not continue to choose working with you after two other shoots haha it was a no brainer!

What were you the most nervous about coming into your session?

The thought of being in such a raw and exposed situation made me incredibly nervous.

How do you feel now that you’ve completed the session?

Capable. Capable of so much more than I’ve ever come to expect from myself. Never would I of thought during this journey of finding and loving myself that I would be nude or in lingerie in front of strangers in public! I did it though and Im so damn proud of myself, just thinking about it now makes me all giddy and confident! Now did I start out confident at first during this session, no, of course not! This was something so completely different than anything I’ve ever done but by the end I had shut out the world and strangers around me and was focusing on me and my body and how I was feeling!

What was your favorite part of your In The Water session?

Honestly getting in the water, there was something freeing about messing up my hair and getting dirty, it felt very raw and powerful.

What, if anything, could have been improved about your session?

Nothing. Seriously nothing. Each time has been absolutely perfect and everything I’ve been looking and striving for.

Do you have any advice for people looking to book their own session?

Learning to embrace your own unique beauty can be hard, for some these sessions with Hannah is the start of their self love journey and to others it’s a way to continue that journey, but magic happens when you start loving your body no matter what it looks like or what stage in life it is in. Take the leap, it will be the most powerful and invigorating thing you will do for yourself.

Would you recommend us to a friend for in the water session?

1000% percent, and every chance I can haha
